Reshel Bretny Fernandes: A Young Voice Shaping India’s Future Through Words

At just 23, Reshel Bretny Fernandes has built a powerful identity as an author, orator, student of law, and emerging voice for youth-led nation-building.

At an age when many are still discovering their direction, Reshel Bretny Fernandes has already built a meaningful identity as an author, orator, and emerging public thought voice.

Daughter of teachers Mr. Ronald and Mrs. Nancy, Reshel’s journey reflects more than talent. It reflects conviction, discipline, and a deep desire to contribute to society through words, ideas, and public engagement.

With five books published by the age of 23, more than 200 achievements, and recognition across literary, academic, youth, and public platforms, Reshel represents the power of young India’s voice.

A Journey Rooted in Purpose

Reshel’s interest in literature and oratory gave her the confidence to use words as a tool for awareness, leadership, and impact.

For her, writing was never only personal expression. It became a way to contribute to nation-building. With a strong interest in writing and public speaking, she felt that her words could inspire youth, society, and the nation.

What began as passion gradually evolved into a larger mission: to encourage young India to think beyond individual success and participate actively in collective progress.

Education, Discipline, and Academic Excellence

Reshel’s academic journey reflects discipline and commitment.

She completed her schooling at DPS MRPL, Mangalore, and her pre-university education at Ladyhill Victoria PU College, where she secured State 7th Rank and District First Rank in the Arts stream.

She completed a B.A. in Hindi from Dakshin Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha, along with a B.A. in History, Economics, and Political Science from Sri Mahaveera College, Moodbidri, securing 2nd rank in Mangalore University.

She is currently pursuing her final year of LLB at S.D.M. Law College, Mangalore. Her additional learning includes courses in disaster management, human resource management, and public health management.

This combination of literature, law, public thought, and civic awareness gives her work a wider intellectual foundation.

Five Books and a National Vision

By the age of 23, Reshel has authored five books.

Among them, Bharat @2047: Role of Youth and Surajya: Good Governance — Wheel of Democracy are closest to her heart. Both books reflect her interest in India’s development, youth leadership, and good governance.

Surajya holds special meaning for her because it is dedicated to former Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji. The book was released on the occasion of his birth anniversary and reflects her belief in values-driven governance and civic responsibility.

Her other works, including Essays on Collective Topics, Light of Education Brightens World, and Environment Bond of Coexistence, show her interest in education, environment, society, and collective growth.

Writing as Service, Expression, and Inspiration

Reshel’s writing often reflects themes of youth, nation-building, education, values, democracy, and social responsibility.

Her message to young India is clear: youth must become individuals who represent society collectively. She believes young people should not remain passive observers. They must dream, inspire, accomplish, and participate in building a stronger nation.

Her writing invites readers to think about their role in the larger national journey.

That is what makes her work stand apart. It is not only literary. It is civic, reflective, and purpose-driven.
